Question Where in NYC Were the Opening/Ending Credits Filmed?

What were the specific locations/streets? Anyone know?

After some digging I was only able to find one from the intro.

The building that is supposed to be The Jeffersons' apt. complex, the Colby East, is located at 185 East 85th Street in Manhattan.

That's the building you see the taxi cab pull into, then The Jeffersons' walk inside the door, and the camera pans up at the building at the end.

The real "Colby East" is in fact an apt. complex in NYC called The Park Lane.

I found their realtor page here where they mention that it is the fictional home of The Jeffersons - http://www.cityrealty.com/nyc/manhat...th-street/6058

The apt. complex is the only one I know for certain. I have general ideas of the other locations but I want to make sure that they are correct.

If you noticed from the intro. after the moving truck turns the corner you can see the street signs in the shot. I tried to take a screen capture off of YouTube and zoom in as much as possible with computer apps. but no luck. It's way to blurry to see it clearly.

I was disappointed to find out that the building George and Weezy walked in was in Santa Monica. Which means that building in NYC is not really a TV landmark

I saw that building when I visited NYC in July 2023 and made sure to get a picture of it.
