According to Cozi's Facebook page, due to technical difficulties beyond their control, Cozi will be postponing the debut on The Jeff Foxworthy Show until further notice: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Pk7oDkDaE/

Update: The Jeff Foxworthy Show will begin this Friday

Good thing we didn't cover the marathon on the blog yet. They had sent a press release about it on December 17.

I don't understand the technical difficulties reason since it's available on DVD/streaming and has aired on many channels over the years. Maybe they are using AI to remaster the episodes like they did with Roseanne.

If that's the case, then it's gonna look even worse on their end if remastering the episodes with AI is the reason why the show's debut is delayed, which was already a bad look for Roseanne, but for a show that only lasted 2 seasons on 2 different networks, it doesn't need to be AI-remastered.

If they're trying to get these shows into HD, it just doesn't work for older videotaped shows. The technology just doesn't have the resolution for it.

Digitizing them is enough of a problem. They can't even get a credit roll not to bounce around.

I just read that the second season was shot on film. Kinda like the Newhart situation -- two different-looking shows.

I think no one wants to see it and this is the "excuse". I've never heard of a tv show being delayed due to remastering. Like others have pointed out, some shows cannot be remastered at all just based on how it was filmed.

If their reason is nobody else wants to see it, then Malcolm & Eddie and The Steve Harvey Show would also be added to the equation as those 2 shows were announced along with Jeff Foxworthy and gotten similar reactions.

I want to see it! I was jealous of those who had Cozi and would have gotten to see the New Year's Day marathon. And it isn't remastering for sure, technical difficulties could mean something else. They have no reason to pull it just because of some complaints, in the social media era every new addition on every network gets those. Now if it bombs that would be another story.
