Default Airing on Antenna TV?

This looks to be the one big “new” addition in January. Once a week 2:30 am ET Saturday night/Sunday morning

I wonder if this is the short-lived 1978 CBS sitcom or the final season of Too Close for Comfort, which was retitled The Ted Knight Show.

The Ted Knight Show (1978) has only six episodes (and a pilot which aired as part of Busting Loose).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Te...978_TV_series)

Too Close for Comfort's name was changed to The Ted Knight Show when the show was retooled in 1986 for its sixth season, which would turn out to be its last due to Ted Knight's death.

I considered that but those episodes are part of the Too Close For Comfort package, which they’ll be showing weekdays and Sundays. And they call it “New Show”, but don’t say that about TCFC.

1978 Ted Knight Show only had 6 episodes, that would cycle really quickly even just once a week. My thought was they are banishing season 6 of Too Close for Comfort to late nights because its quality really went down after the daughters left, ratings might have reflected that. They are giving it the other name to make it look like they have more. If it is the 1978 version, that should get a complete series marathon or two on weekend afternoons or evenings.

I wondered about that, too. Certainly the 1978 show was never syndicated, and may never even have been mastered to videotape (unless it was shot on videotape).

It would be a rare series which probably has never been syndicated anywhere. There are only three episodes known to be existence amongst private collectors.

It's pilot episode was an episode Adam Arkin's early show, "Busting Loose."

So even following The Jeffersons didn’t help. What were the Jeffersons numbers like in early 1978?

Nope because it wasnt even a top 20 show by that point. Thats why it was moved to a new slot lol And it didnt help at all because after the first airing of Jeffersons in new slot and first airing of TNS, both were below 50

Jeffersons #53
Ted knight# 60

Then the following season the Jeffersons was almost cancelled before being moved to Sundays where it would stay until 1985
