I don't like them. They enlarged the size of the bar and it's harder to tell if there's a new post or not. Before it was a different color, so it was easier.

At first I saw the TV sets and I was just reading this post about how the light bulbs were changed into TV sets, and when I left the thread, they changed back into Christmas tree lights!!!

I'm not sure if you could even do this and I hope this suggestion doesn't sound stupid, but how about having a little section in options so a person could choose the icons they wanted. Have the plain lightbulbs, the tv sets, and maybe 2 or 3 other things. Again, hope my suggestion doesn't sound stupid.
