I could never figure out why NBC decided to cancel Deal Or No Deal back in 2009 and I would like to know the actual reason Deal Or No Deal got cancelled? One theory I heard was because it was against Dancing With The Stars in ratings and the other theory I heard was because they kept repeating the Million Dollar Mission after scoring two million dollar champions. But I then heard that Howie Mandel was gonna focus on other projects and shows. It was a surprise to see NBC pull the plug on Deal Or No Deal in 2009 because the show was a monster hit and a smash hit

The way I see it NBC made a really wrong move by cancelling Deal Or No Deal and they should've kept it going for more seasons. But I think part of the actual reason why Deal Or No Deal ended in 2009 was because Bob Saget's 1 Vs 100 was stealing Deal Or No Deal's audience and NBC paid more attention to Bob Saget than Howie Mandel because they thought Bob Saget was destined to be a big game show star. I also think NBC had secretly planned to do a crossover episode of Deal Or No Deal with 1 Vs 100 and 1 Vs 100 with Deal Or No Deal "Kind of like what CBS does with Let's Make A Deal and The Price Is Right" but with 1 Vs 100 scoring stellar ratings NBC just couldn't handle the viewership of Deal Or No Deal and they cancelled it
