Was this a normal thing people did at get togethers in the 60s like green carpet and fondu?

I don't know, but she was sure annoying. Her husband should have been happy to get out of that marriage.

Sadly, Lynn Loring is no longer with us. I'm a fan, although I will be the first
to say that the pants outfit she wore on M3S is not among her best looks.
And it goes without saying she was assigned a horrid character to play...!

You're right about the role. She obviously played it the way they wanted.

Along with Aunt Cecile (played by the late Marsha Hunt, who I think lived to around 101), season 8 had its share of annoying characters.

Oh wow. She was Maybelle in Big Valley. I love that episode and she plays the part so well.
