“The Gossip”:
Episode #25 (Syndicated episode #24) DVD: On the I Love Lucy Season 1, Volume 7 DVD, it is attached to episodes #25-28 along with bonus features like flubs, series original opening, guest cast information, behind the scenes featurette, My Favorite Husband episode “The Marriage License” & “Selling Dresses.” On all the other standard definition Season 1 DVD Box sets, it is Attached to episodes 25-30 of the show & the rest are the same On the Blu Ray set, it is attached to the episodes #23-28 along with the bonus features like flubs. Air Date: Mon. 3/24/52 Note: I heard that when this episode was shown in the 70s, Lucy’s line when she sees Ricky & Fred with black soot in their faces “Well if it ain’t the Coal Dust twins” was muted due to it at the time being offensive. Yes, this was before cancel couture. Obviously that line I don’t think won’t fly today but the line has been restored.
