So at this point, leaving the MeTV schedule may be (unless there is more shuffled):

In the Heat of the Night
Gilligan's Island
Mama's Family

Leaving Sunday:

The Beverly Hillbillies

The Beverly Hillbillies Sunday at 11am replace Happy days and Laverne and Shirey
- Hawaii Five-0 weekdays at 11A | 10C replace in the heat of the night

- Charlie's Angels Sundays at 2P | 1C replace The Beverly Hillbillies

- Hart to Hart Sundays at 3P | 2C Replace Gilligan's Island

- Fantasy Island Sundays at 4P | 3C Replace Mamas Family

See the new lineup and full schedule here!
I don't get the 5-0 add, but the other three I speculated on around 12:30 before we saw the new schedule.

While putting Angels, Hart to Hart, Fantasy Island and Love Boat together makes sense from a continuity perspective I don't know that it will generate a large enough audience on a long-term basis.

The hardboiled Hawaii 5-0 doesn't seem like a good fit in late morning between the light drama of Matlock and the gentle story telling of The Waltons.

Not leaving, moving to 11am ET, dumping Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley.

The Beverly Hillbillies are moving to 11 and 11:30 on Sundays, Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley are getting the axe.

Happy Days strikes me as a show people like to remember more than they like to rewatch, the whole Fonzie thing didn't age well.

Laverne and Shirley surprise me, I thought this series would be a perennial similar to Bewitched, Jeannie, Hogan's Heroes.

Seems like Gillian's Island has finally run out of gas.

It seems like Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley have never done well on MeTV. They have been moved around a lot and come and gone from the network several times. They can never seem to stay at a time consistently. At least they are still on Catchy.

Yeah, I don`t think HAPPY D & L&S get the ratings, they are both a slog especially L&S

I`m surprised Carol Burnett is still on, should have switched to the full hours,
they are available

I finally watched a couple of GRIZZLY ADAMS episodes, o my lord, they are bad, hard to believe it lasted more then 6-months first run

Happy Days is much better than Laverne and Shirley, Fonzie rocks.

Thanks so much! BTW, have the new 2026 schedules for the other Weigel networks such as H&I, Catchy Comedy, Start TV, and MeTV Toons been posted yet?

The point was not which one was better but which series had the greater potential in the rerun market. In my opinion for a variety of reasons it was Laverne and Shirley. The very concept of "Jump the Shark" is right from Happy Days, the Fonzie waterskiing scene which occurs right at the beginning of season 5!

Putting that aside, both shows have not done well on METV, primetime, early evening and now weekends.

You knew it was only a matter of time for In The Heat Of The Night since they had already dropped every other MGM-owned series post-Amazon acquisition.
