Possibly one of David Letterman's shows? Same production company as Everybody Loves Raymond, and could compete with Antenna's Carson (or they could steal Carson).

Or Home Improvement, Golden Girls, [edit] Empty Nest, Coach, or Night Court.
I had thought of Home Improvement, but that has faltered in the past, elsewhere.

Merry mentioned Seinfeld but they'd run into trouble in Primetime with other local channels, including here.

I gotta think primetime is involved; otherwise, they wouldn't announce it during Raymond.

Off subject wondering why they are airing more Christmas episodes Thanksgiving Weekend compared to Christmas Eve & Christmas.

Except of course MASH and Hogans Heroes.

I want Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, Family Affair and Car 54 , where are you. But the chances of that happening are slim and nil .

It had better not be Home Improvement. That show is great on LAFF.

It's sad but true that the audience for the older shows from the 50's to 70's is gradually dropping off. The addition of Raymond to MeTV's schedule is just the first sign of where they're going with their future programming.

I'm just glad to have most of my favorites on DVD's. Things that remain on my want list are Forever Fernwood, the follow up series to Mary Hartman. I'd love to have Forever Fernwood on DVD. Also the 2nd season of Burke's Law, along with the follow up series Amos Burke Secret Agent. And there's a few one season sitcoms from the 60's that I'd like to have on DVD, The Cara Williams Show being one of those. But at this point I know that it's not likely for any of these to get a DVD release. Cara Williams Show does have a few episodes posted on You Tube.

MASH will stay, I agree with you on that show. I think Hogan's Heroes will be gone. ELR is the foundation of the new METV, the network will be bringing shows in that complement that series. TAGS is probably safe for 2026 but I do not expect it to be in primetime beyond next year. It may be moved to the early morning hours or off METV altogether by the beginning of 2027.

What about Svengoolie do you think that Svengoolie will leave Saturdays Prime time? Or leave permanently?

I wonder if Full House will Return to Me TV Full Time?

Where does that leave Leave It To Beaver & The Brady Bunch & The Three Stooges?

Do you think Me TV will deticate itself to having A Very Merry CLASSIC Me TV Yearly respectfully? Or was 2024/2025 the last Holiday Season with A Very Merry Classic Me TV?

I haven't been watching ELR so I didn't know. If it is one of highest rated shows than yes I expect more sitcoms like that on the channel.

I still see plenty of baby boomers and GGs on facebook watching/talking MeTV. Yes I'm aware that sadly someday those generations will fade out from society and with it the tv shows but it hasn't happened yet. It doesn't explain the abundance of Westerns still on the channel.

You think so? That's a quick phase out for the channel. It will really become current Nick at Nite. Are the 4 shows going to be Friends, Seinfeld, King of Queens and Reba?

What I've noticed is they are pushing the after-show more than Svengoolie. He is their most popular show - I know someone who has access to the ratings. If he leaves, it's on his own terms.

METV would be very interested in all those titles with the exception of Reba. It comes down to money and availability.

With respect to the daytime western block that may stay in place for now with primetime being the first concern, but please note Weigel did begin operating a Western themed subchannel during the year so the western block may be reduced or phased out altogether in the next year or so.

Longtime viewers of the channel would appreciate some reassurance that the channel isn't planning to dump the programming they have come to expect, the response by METV management is just the opposite announce the new shows during ELR.

The 4 new shows I would like to see come to MeTV are all classic comedies. The 40th Anniversary Special of Golden Girls was a huge success on ABC. I would love to see Golden Girls come to MeTV. The other 3 comedies are Will & Grace, Spin City and 3rd Rock From the Sun.

8pm 3rd Rock From the Sun
8:30 Spin City
9pm Everybody Loves Raymond
9:30 Everybody Loves Raymond
10pm Golden Girls
10:30 Will and Grace
11pm Carol Burnett Show

The Svengoolie issue is a tough one for METV. Rich Koz turns 74 in March, over the course of time he has had several heart attacks. Who knows how much longer he will want to continue, the new cast of characters is plan B should Rich decide to throw in the towel or health issues make the decision for him. I don't think the folks currently in place have the talent to come close to filling his shoes. They need to keep looking.

I don’t understand why Me TV is changing the format? Or is it? Yes Me TV has added a lot more programming outside of the 1960’s and 1970’s decades as of recent (Collectors Call & Full House & Raymond), but before Me TV went Nationally it aired shows from the 50’s thru 2000’s.

Now I will admit I don’t understand why they haven’t added The Adventures Of Ozzie and Harriet and other shows from earlier decades recently.

My guess they might be adding programming outside of where the Sitcoms air. They want to announce during Raymond to bring in ratings for Raymond. It will score big I’m sure well played by Me TV.

With all the different Classic TV Channels the well known shows are already airing somewhere so it would be difficult to get Classics. Perhaps Me TV is trying to not go away from Classic TV but brinning in other programming outside of the 50’s thru 70’s decades.

I will admit that it makes no sense to Remove Classic programming from a Channel because Boomers and X are out of the demographic thinking like that is in accurate because most young people don’t watch cable or over the air channels. The young folks stream on Hulu or Netflix. Look at me I’m at the end of the X generation but I’ve enjoyed programming from all eras because I grew up watching NICK at NITE. Bottom line let’s just give Raymond the ratings tommorow (Dec 1 2025) and will find out more on what the future has in store for Me TV!
