Do any of you find Major Healey's behavior toward just about every single pretty girl to be offensive? And often creepy. That guy would be fired in an instant in today's world for sexual harassment.

Don't age it then. Take it for what it is in the time-period as presented.

Bill Dailey is awesome and his comedic slapstick bits with Larry Hagman are wonderful, understated - and vastly underrated. Love the character of Roger Healey!

Comedy is about laughing at our foibles, IMHO. If there are no flaws to caricature, there is no satire.

Going back to the comedy between Healey (Bill Daily) and Nelson (Larry Hagman), there's a known story there. Larry did not like the idea of "talking heads", no matter how funny the lines were (or weren't) So he and Bill would come up with their own physical comedy moves and put them into the episodes. It caused issues between Larry and at least one director, but it all worked, as you might say. Bill told me once (yes, I've met him on many occasions before he left us) that one of the most fun things about IDOJ was working out that comedy and rehearsing with Larry Hagman.

Come on. You don't think it happened in more recent shows? Think about Howard in The Big Bang Theory. He always hit on every pretty girl. Or the leering Dan Fielding in Night Court?
