The Pilot episode has part of a Jo Stafford song, presumably "I'll Be Seeing You", cut. The dude even makes a joke about it: "He's got an awfully high voice." The show runs a very short 24:11.
Season 2 has the opening scene with Andy and Alice and some mistletoe from "A Semi-Merry Christmas" trimmed out. This one may have included a bit of "I Saw Mommy (Alice) Kissing Santa Claus" or, more likely, "White Christmas" since the show begins, now, right at the end of the Andy/Alice exchange and there's a comment about the pink Christmas tree suggesting it doesn't scream "white christmas". The end credits still retain an image of Alice kissing Andy under his little sprig of mistletoe (actually, in the spirit of the show it might be parsley or lettuce, just for a cheap joke!). These episodes run just over 40 seconds short of the usual run time of 25-25:35. Any other big/noticeable edits in these? It's been years since I've watched any (never bothered with super-edited, cable reruns) and even though I have the complete series, I never got to watch season 5 and up on dvd until now. |

That is the joy of DVD releases of sitcoms. There is a treasure trove of jokes and clips that have not aired since the original airing date.
When you get the DVD its shocking the amount of edits you may not have seen before. |

It's not a scene edit, but the 1st episode of the 3rd season DVD (Take Him, He's Yours) has the beginning replaced. The one used for that episode had slightly different audio than the rest of the 3rd season episodes (except for Vera's Popcorn Romance, which also has the same audio, which was intact on the DVD)
