Tim Allen says he forgives driver who killed his father, inspired by Erika Kirk’s speech
By Jordan Unger Thu, September 25, 2025 (WJW) – Actor and comedian Tim Allen is reflecting on his father’s tragic death, more than 60 years later, after watching Erika Kirk’s eulogy to her late husband, Charlie Kirk, over the weekend. ____________________________________ Powerful message: 'I forgive him': Erika Kirk forgives man charged with killing Charlie Kirk (3:26 long) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sd3DZMzWeEs _____________________________________ During the Sunday memorial, Erika Kirk told the audience that she forgives Tyler Robinson, the man accused of shooting and killing her husband at a Utah Valley University event earlier this month. “On the cross, our savior said, ‘Father, forgive them. For they not know what they do.’ That man. That young man. I forgive him,” she said. Allen took to X on Thursday, saying the 36-year-old widow’s words deeply moved him. “I have struggled for over 60 years to forgive the man who killed my Dad. I will say those words now as I type: ‘I forgive the man who killed my father,'” Allen wrote on social media. The “Home Improvement” and “Toy Story” star was just 11 years old when his father, real estate agent Gerald Dick, was killed in a car accident involving a drunk driver in 1964. “Peace be with you all,” Allen, now 72, concluded in the post. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...024903597.html |

From Luke 23, for some reason I choke up at this (totally off-topic): 41 [2nd criminal] "...But this man (Jesus) has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” |
