I noticed something peculiar about the season 5 closing credits
The shot of Mary and Rhoda feeding the ducks is carried over from the previous season despite Rhoda not being on the show anymore.

It might be that they liked the ducks. Mary's in every shot of the late season opening credits, except for the one shot of the duck with ducklings.
