What is your favorite scene with Vic Tayback? Describe why it's your favorite?

It's too hard to pick one but I like the one where he was 'Captain Galaxy'. He looked and acted hillarious in the costume. I also like the one where he fell in love(and she did the same) with Jolene and Alice and Vera caught them kissing. He was the best part of the show, in my opinion. He was also good when Re-run(from What's happening) was on and they all danced in the diner. The dancing was the funniest part of the show--especially Mel's.

I like him in just about every scene. It's hard to think about the 9 years the show was on the air and choose just one. This is a great topic, though. But those are the few that stick out in my mind.

I too like the episode with Mel and Jolene. For once, he looked and acted "human!" That was one of my favourite episodes. Another good one was when he and Flo were an item. That was quite funny. Mel was not "human" here, rather silly instead.

Mel to Alice: Are you insulting my Flo-Flo?

Alice (commenting to herself): Sounds like a grizzly bear defending his mate!

Really, wasn't Mel waaay too old to be acting like a superhero? I thought it showed that by S9, the show was really running on fumes.
