Default Brackett Berating Suicidal Patient?

Which episode? Haven't seen it in years and years. He yelled, "You make me sick!" at a guy who had attempted suicide when a patient in the next room was fighting to live. I thought it was a bit over the top even back in the day and suppose they would never get away with it now that depression is recognized as an illness. But then, I don't watch current network dramas and somebody might do it just to be edgy.

Yes, Dr. Brackett did come off looking like somewhat of an insensitive Neanderthal in
that episode.

Certainly, Doctors Marcus Welby, Alex Stone, Julia Hoffman, Sherman Potter, Hiram Baker, Dave Woodard, Benjamin Pierce and Michaela Quinn would never treat a depressed and suicidal patient the way that Dr. Kelly Brackett did. Although, I suspect that Dr. Frank “Ferret-Face” Burns would have been even worse than Dr. Brackett had been with that clearly troubled patient.

Is this the one where there were two other patients fighting for their lives and Brackett got pissed that there was also one patient trying to end their life?

I'm sure he mentioned another patient fighting for their life but I still can't name which episode although I have seen them all.

Its the one where the boy has to be helped to fly a plane after his dad has a heart attack.

I just started season 3 so it must be in 1 or 2.

I think we decided this exact scene isn't in Emergency! but in Medical Center, which is odd because I have watched Emergency! multiple times and didn't watch Medical Center that much but somehow remembered this scene well but misremembered it as being in Emergency! I somehow also remember a scene in Emergency! where a young guy was feeling sorry for himself because he had epilepsy or something and Dr. Early pointed out someone who was overcoming worse problems but I couldn't say which episode or give further details.

It's also possible the person who said it was in Medical Center was wrong and it is actually in the "Dealer's Wild" episode of Emergency! but was cut out on the channel on which I was most recently watching, or there could even be similar scenes in both shows. I so clearly remember this scene with Dr. Brackett.

I think it is Dealer's wild. If you read the reviews of Bad Luck Johnny, he agrees.
"Dr. Brackett has some tense moments when he tries to save the boy's father, along with helping Dr. Early on a case of a man with a terminal condition. Meanwhile, the good doctors save a man who tried to commit suicide three ways. Of course, he survived. Dr. Bracket was discouraged by the unfairness of the whole thing. At the end, when Dixie is feeling the weight of the day on her shoulders, the man who tried to kill himself says he's going to sue the hospital for what they put him through" https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0570619...f_=tt_ururv_sm

I'm hearing from people in Facebook groups who have the DVD set that in the episode "Dealer's Wild," Rampart does have one patient fighting for life while another is suicidal, but this scene of Brackett yelling at a patient is nowhere in Emergency!
