If theres a buck to be made some company will come up with a product for every little thing. But Im sure no one really needs separate cleaning products for tile floors, bathtub, toilet, windows, walls, shower doors, car interior, stainless steel fridge, etc etc.
Now obviously we arent gonna clean fine wood furniture with ammonia or porous tile with vinegar I dont think, but we do want to pare down the mountain of cleaning products we have What are your must-haves dues?? What do ya find works the best.. Natural stuff or stuff loaded with horrible chemicals?? |

I mostly only use three cleaning products to clean around the house. And that would be dishwasher liquid to clean the kitchen area including the counters and sink. And Ajax or Comet powder for the bathroom and around the bathtub. And one product I could not do without is bleach. Not only it deodorizes and sanitize, it also make the cleaned area shiny and looked "polished".

I use Windex for mirrors and windows and to clean knickknacks, lemon pledge for wood furniture, comet or ajax scrub for bathroom counters, sink, tub , toilet and to scrub the kitchen sink. Than a spray cleaner for kitchen counters. And after the scrub of the bathroom a light spray with the spray cleaner to wipe around the bathroom counter to make it shine and smell fresh.Lysol spray misc. Esp. if someone has been sick in the house .And floor cleaner with the mop. And for touch ups for the floor, I have a Swiffer mop .

My grandmother always believed in Mr. Clean when she would clean the floors in her house and still used it until she passed away and my grandmother thought that Mr. Clean worked like magic when it came to cleaning her floors and got my mom to use Mr. Clean too and it really worked. My mom also used Murphy's Oil Soap to clean the kitchen floor in our house and it worked nicely. For our bathroom sink my mother uses Comet and Comet really takes care of getting dirty sinks clean. But when my father cleans windows he uses Windex and he also uses Windex to clean our bathroom mirrors and it works. But when it comes to deodorizing the house my mother is a big believer in Glade

Goo Gone has worked wonders when I've had to use it to remove sticker residue from CDs and DVDs. It will clean almost anything.

Do you remember Top Job? It debuted in the 60's and claimed to work on kitchen floors and it was sold as Mr. Clean Top Job in the 90's until it was discontinued. Another cleaning product that became all the rage that everyone used to claim it worked was Lysol Direct and my mother bought Lysol Direct to try it out in our bathroom and it worked

Mr. Clean had always tried to come up with new innoventions to it's cleaning products to try to attract the audience that they had to surprise and Mr. Clean still does it today. Do you remember Mr. Clean Bathroom Cleaner? It debuted in 1993 and claimed that it cleaned bathroom areas like toilets toilet bowls and bathroom sinks with a spotless shine? Another cleaning product that was also popular but I can't figure out why people bought it was Toilet Duck and it came in a bottle with a nozzle shaped like a duck's neck and it had a commercial with a duck flying a plane. But my father tried Toilet Duck when it came out after we saw the commercial and we hoped it would work but Toilet Duck was a failure for us and they also had Bathroom Duck too which cleaned bathroom areas very well. I know a lot about household cleaners because my mom uses them all the time and has taught me about the histories of some of them
