The cancellations leave the highly rated mothership FBI, now in its seventh season on CBS and Year 1 of a three-year pickup, and potential new offshoot FBI: CIA, now in development. The axing of Most Wanted and International boosts FBI: CIA's chances. |

Good! It would be too much to have 4 FBI shows on the air at the same time. One was enough and that is the original.

Both "FBI: International" and "FBI: Most Wanted" were doing pretty well in the ratings and had devoted fans. So why were they canceled? |

"FBI: International" Co-Creator Opens Up about Series Cancellation
by Natalie Oganesyan June 22, 2025 Speaking to TVLine, co-creator Derek Haas said, “I was so sad to hear about the cancellation because I loved Jesse Soffer as Wes on the show and really thought it was a dynamic cast addition in Season 4.” He added of his thoughts on the matter: “I have no insight into why it was canceled. I love [CBS Entertainment President] Amy [Reisenbach] and [EVP of current programming and daytime programming] Eric [Kim] over at CBS, plus all my good friends at Wolf [Entertainment], and trust their instincts. So they must’ve had reasons that had nothing to do with the quality of the show.” https://deadline.com/2025/06/fbi-int...on-1236439481/ |

The Fly Team Almost Had A New Member But FBI: International Season 5's Cancelation Derailed It
CBS canceling FBI: International before season 5 made it impossible to continue the potential to have Agent Tyler Booth join the Fly Team full-time. |

I hope this would be the last spinoff of the FBI franchise. How much further can you go? This franchise isn't popular like One Chicago and Law and Order. I say 2 F.B.I. shows is enough.

Now I Understand Why FBI: International's Series Finale Was So Bad While Most Wanted's Ending Was Brilliant
FBI: International's series finale was terrible, but I understand why the writers made some frustrating choices during the series' final episodes. |
