Default Please Come To Boston by Dave Loggins

My mom likes the Dave Loggins song Please Come To Boston and I always wanted to know what it's about? Is it about a guy telling his crush to visit him in Boston when she is in town showcasing her art because she is an artist? And do they fall in love? I know that Reba McEntire covered Please Come To Boston in her 1995 covers album Starting Over as well. Was this song Dave Loggins's first ever solo hit?

The guy is originally from Tennessee . He us on the move alot. The first verse is" Please come to Boston". Than the next two verses are "Please come to Denver" and" Please come to LA ".

The girl all three times says no. She wants him back in Tennesee with her. She feels that the other places aren't for him and wants him to come back to where he is from and back to her.

From Southern point of view, I think she is also saying that big urban cities like Boston, Denver or LA is not an ideal place for a country boy from Tennessee. She is begging him to come back to his home with more laidback southern lifestyle.

The movie "Midnight Cowboy" had the same theme where a southern cowboy moved to New York city, and found out the hard way that big Cities are not as good as all cracked up to be.
