Keep It in the Family
I found out Too Close for Comfort was based on a Britcom that premiered earlier the same year in 1980. Both shows had the Rush surname and Muriel the mother. Jackie was in both but spelled different, also she was recast on Keep It in the Family. Sara was Susan and Henry was Dudley. Good thing they dropped that dud of a name.
