So Rob Reiner appeared on The Partridge Family while All in the Family was on the air
WOW, never knew that. I had on the Patridge Family marathon and saw Mike and was like WOW!! This was during season 2 of All in the family

Dale McRaven, Partridge Family producer in this era, had been a writer on The Dick van Dyke Show and would have known Carl Reiner. Maybe asked to borrow his son for an episode.
