Looking for an episode - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

As a kid I remember watching this show with my dad and I could have sworn there was an episode where Jonathan gave mark the "stuff" to lift a bunch of weights bench pressing against someone. Which episode was this? It wasn't the episode where he turned into a dog and gave mark the stuff. Maybe I'm imagining it from my childhood. It would be cool to go back and revisit this since it has been so long if it really wasn't a figment of my imagination

I wish I could help you but there are several episodes where Mark is asking for "the stuff" but doesn't get it. The one episode I do remember where this is mentioned is the episode where Mark is chasing some thug through back streets where the end up at a cookout in a small backyard and the guy ends shooting at him several times. He becomes emboldened when nothing happens and this terrifies the man who's firing at him near point blank range. A while later, when the guy is caught, he turns to Jonathan and thanks him for the protection provided by "the stuff." Mark is bewildered when his partner feigns ignorance. I don't think this point was ever resolved in the episode.

My question to the forum is: I used to know the name of the episode(s) where Jonathan is having a long deep discussion with a lady on the beach. They're not located near the shore but are sitting on a back porch, possibly. If I'm not mistaken, this same scene almost is shown in the same season on a different episode where you can see the surf for many minutes behind two actors in a protracted conversation. Can someone clue me in?
