How come in the old TV shows when they gave their number a number or 2 was muted out? Its a fake number anyway!

I think before they had the 555 area code set aside for fictional phone numbers, they muted the last couple numbers. That way they could be assured that no one would try calling the person. Nowadays they just use 555 instead.

Yes and they had good reason to block it out!

Look at the poor people who have

867-5309

I have scanned to find some valid #s....... (Area code 204 plays that song when you call it (2048675309))
