Lightbulb Please Don't Eat the Daisies on 16mm!

Somebody e-mailed me this, and asked me to post this on the board:

I just imported from Australia 8 original NBC 16mm "DAISIES" prints. The condition of
7 out of 8 prints is unbelieveable. i own about 65 titles of old t.v. shows and only one other show comes close in quality. they look untouched by time. The color is like technicolor, and the sound is very crisp. I might be willing to sell a couple of these,
if you're interested. i was going to sell all but 1 or 2, but after the daisies film marathon i had when i got them, i want to keep most of them! also, if you or anyone else is interested in coming to L.A. to see
these, let me know. maybe we can plan a gathering. i can project these onto a 6 foot screen or larger, depending on the space. if anyone knows of a theatre we could rent, we could see these on a movie screen! here are the titles collected.the only print that is
pinkish is "mine is the luck of the irish"

1.Just For Laughs
2.Pest in the House
3.The Silent Butler
4.A Hunting We Will Go
5.A Matter of Concentration
6.Mine is the Luck of the Irish
7.The Pied Piper of Ridgemont
8.Professor, Please!

Thumbs up

I would love to have as much as I can get on 16mm Todd!!

I have a VHS release from VCI home media and they used to put 16mm movies on VHS and I have a movie from them released in the early 80s called D.O.A - It is from 1950 I think..... (Black and white)

Oh my Todd, they didnt clean it up,they didnt put any filtering on the video,etc.......

IT LOOKS AND SOUNDS LIKE YOUR ACTUALLY WATCHING IT ON THE REELS!!!!!! (Its goregous)

I wouldnt mind seeing some of this show on 16mm also!!!

16 mm color film can look quite good if it's well preserved. I have a Lassie movie on DVD that is filmed on 16mm and it looks great.

There is also an old Lassie pilot episode derived from 35mm that looks great. This was back in the days when they tried to show off all the colors on the set.

Do you have any 16mm stuff in analogue buddy??

Either on the reels themselves or BETA/VHS?

I have tons of Beta and VHS.

And I've found that if i use a DVD recorder to transfer it to DVD, it looks exactly the same.

The problem isn't the digital format. Any problems occur in the frame by frame digital remastering process that is done professionally. Sometimes by people who don't know what they're doing.
