Default Most consistent classic sitcom of all time?

Just starting to rewatch the series all the way through. I don't remember many clunker episodes. The Honeymooners original 39 episodes, and the Dick Van Dyke Show would also be up there for consistency.

I love The Munsters. I prefer some episodes over others, but I can't think of any clunkers.

One kinda inconsistency I noticed was the Munsters' sleeping habits. So they sometimes talked about being active at night and sleeping in the day, backward of course from "normal" people, BUT they are shown going to bed and sleeping at night and being awake in the day, Herman works in the day time, etc....

Yeah, that one time Herman had insomnia and he went for a walk and that was during the nighttime.

Hogan's Heroes was pretty consistent, aided by the fact that their variety was limited by being prisoners.

Barney Miller was remarkably consistently funny, unusually so for a show that tinkered with its format for a bit then had a lot of cast changes.

I think they made a brilliant decision using the up all night vampire/ghouls angle for one-liners. But they all kept conventional sleep and sleeping hours. So the writers could have the best of both worlds.

Agree with Hogan's Heroes and mostly Barney Miller. I thought though the early BM's Barney's wife, and daughter, and his home life didn't fit well. They rarely mentioned the daughter again but the wife would pop up occasionally adding nothing to the show. Maybe better casting of the wife would've helped. A minor nitpick.
