Default Disney's Happy Easter Parade

I remember when ABC used to air a very wonderful Easter tradition every year and when I used to watch it every Easter it was a wonderful tradition just as good as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was Disney's Happy Easter Parade and it was an awesome parade with the Disney characters showing scenes on floats from favorite Disney movies and including a visit from the Easter Bunny at the end just like Santa Claus's arrival at the end of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. When ABC started airing Disney's Happy Easter Parade on TV the original host was the late Alan Thicke but then was replaced by Regis Philbin and Joan Lunden as cohosts and then finally hosted by the cast of Boy Meets World in 1998. It's a real shame that ABC doesn't air the Disney's Happy Easter Parade anymore and ABC should bring it back this Easter because it was a wonderful Easter tradition that families liked to watch together
Did you ever get to watch Disney's Happy Easter Parade on ABC when it aired?

I was wondering if anyone has copies of Disney's Easter Parade on VHS? The two years I have interest in is 1990 and 1991.

I cannot figure out why ABC stopped airing Disney's Happy Easter Parade because it was wonderful to watch and it was so awesome to see the highlights from Disney movies like Beauty And The Beast and I remember when Beauty And The Beast came out Disney's Happy Easter Parade in 1991 had a wonderful segment that introduced the characters of the movie that Mom and I really enjoyed that featured Robby Benson dancing with Belle and it was amazing and the other Disney's Happy Easter Parades did awesome segments with other Disney movies as well but what I think caused Disney not to air the Happy Easter Parades on ABC was because it was too costly and seemed to copy Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades and I find it surprising that the only Disney parade that airs on ABC now is Disney's Very Merry Christmas Parade that airs every Christmas. I think Disney and ABC should bring airings of Disney's Happy Easter Parade back to TV because it was a family tradition that families could look forward to every Easter
Could a new version of Disney's Happy Easter Parade work miracles for ABC and Disney?

I think Disney should think about bringing the Happy Easter Parade to TV because it was so cool to watch and it would be a great addition to Easter because every Easter there's a lack of Easter themed programming every year. It would also be cool if Disney+ aired Disney's Happy Easter Parade as well

Yes, I loved those! When did they stop airing these? Obviously this year would be out of the question, but I always found them so fun to watch. I loved the bright colors.

I can never understand why ABC still has the Disney Very Merry Christmas Parade airing every Christmas but not the Happy Easter Parade every Easter? Because in my family it used to be a family tradition every Easter to watch this parade and my mother used to tape each parade for me to watch again and again. But I think why ABC stopped televising the Disney Happy Easter Parade was because of money and I think they wanted to give the celebrities more money. Because when ABC debuted the Disney Happy Easter Parade in 1985 I think they wanted to hype the newest at the time Disney movies and the happenings at the parks as a sort of commercial to get families to vacation there. Another thing they did is why did they pick Alan Thicke to be the first host of Disney's Happy Easter Parade with Joan Lunden? Because I mainly think Alan was mainly there to promote Growing Pains but in the 90's parades they should've replaced Alan Thicke with Bob Saget rather than Regis Philbin because although Regis and Joan Lunden were the dynamic duo of Disney's Easter Parade Bob Saget would've been better with Joan. But I think Disney wanted to copy Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades with this parade. The final thing that I think caused the Disney Happy Easter Parade's death was the sponsorship plugs they would use. Like every parade it seemed that the Kissimmee-St Cloud Tourism board would always sponsor the parade and also Johnson & Johnson would always sponsor the parade as well but you rarely saw sponsorship from Children's Tylenol and Teddy Grahams and Reach Toothbrushes and it tells me that Disney and ABC chose those sponsors for the parade because they cost little money to sponsor. But I think ABC should really bring this parade back to TV rather than focus on the Disney Christmas Parade to get families to watch TV on Easter

The Very Merry Christmas Parade is a shell of its former self, its more about the musical performances more so than it is the actual parade. But I hear the actual parade is actually pretty good.

I don't know why Disney doesn't revive the Happy Easter Parades for TV anymore? Because it is shocking that every Easter there is NO Easter themed parades shown on TV anymore and Disney should revive a new version of the Happy Easter Parade for Disney+ and it would be a mega Easter hit every Easter

ABC aired it from 1985 to 1999. I agree with Hawkee. They should bring it back.
