seeing as DVDs are highly unlikey, I started my watching the season 3 & 4 episodes i downloaded from YT years ago. It's still a lame sitcom, that is funny in places and has a charm about it. I watched the episode where Vicki is revealed to be a robot so Ted gets Jamie, Harriet and Regie to dress as Vicki robots too and do a dance. Soo funny. Just a great shame the PQ was soo poor.

It's so bad, it's good. Considering the low budget they allegedly had, it's amazing they pulled off the special effects. The season 1 DVD had some interesting commentaries.
Antenna TV showed the whole series a few years ago, before they did credit crunches. Some of the later episodes had the original pre-ad bumpers. |

I loved the house set. That kitchen and living room were so inviting. I loved the window seat.
The commentaries were excellent. I often have them on as my white noise when going to sleep. Thank heavens for Dick Christie as he managed to get the cast talking the most by asking them questions to prompt them. |

For a low-budget videotaped show they had a really nice set. Their set looked better than some network shows, such as Everybody Loves Raymond.
I do remember a fishing scene they did once that looked really cheesy. But that goes with the territory. To look like the outdoors you really gotta be outdoors--a set looks like a set. I remember being impressed with Marla Pennington's comments. |

Marla was good. As were the guests they had on such as Eddie and the nerdy kid. Shame they didn't have Tiffany or Harriett.
The outdoor sets on SW never convinced. Really cheap looking they were, such as the school yard and the area they had the pool in. I found it funny watching episodes were you could guess whether the living room or kitchen would be used because when they weren't, you could see a fake wall put in place behind the swing door connecting both sets. |
