Marsai Martin on Where Diane is Now
"black-ish" Star Marsai Martin Reveals Where Diane is Now
by Joey Nolfi April 8, 2025 "black-ish" character Diane is officially all grown up — at least in actress Marsai Martin's mind, that is. The 20-year-old actress appeared Tuesday morning on "Good Morning America" to promote her role in the new Viola Davis-led action film G20, with host Michael Strahan hitting a nostalgic note by bringing up her sitcom parents Tracee Ellis Ross (who was on GMA recently) and Anthony Anderson (who's set to appear on Wednesday's episode). "All the parentals! It's going to be a family reunion," Martin joked, before Strahan asked: "I'm curious, what would your character, Diane, be up to today?" Martin paused to consider the circumstances of Diane — the central couple's youngest child, alongside her twin, Jack (Miles Brown) — after the ABC show's 2022 series finale. "How old would she be? Probably around my age, 19 or 20," Martin said as she pondered Diane's status. "She'd definitely be at an HBCU. I'd definitely say that. Taking on the campus!" Strahan then asked if Diane would still be as "rebellious" as ever. Martin smiled and said, "Probably." Martin continued, noting that Diane "definitely would be the talk of the town," wherever she is. https://ew.com/marsai-martin-reveals...s-now-11711062 |
