Just checked out "John Doe Munster" and noticed another poor attempt at a stand in. Check out the "Eddie" long shot when he's on the roof.

In episode #48 A Man for Marilyn, you can see the wires holding up the roach.

In episode #59 The Fregosi Emerald, you can see the black wires attached to Lily's popovers. You can also see the wire attached to the Nathanson ruby, which flies into Herman's mouth.

My favorite is in #69 "Herman's Lawsuit" after Herman is hit by the car and knocked to the ground. His hairpiece is separated from his head and shows the flat white surface of his makeup head. It seems so obvious (saw it on regular TV years ago) that it's a wonder they didn't re-film it. Since it was the second-to-last episode they may have run short of money to do re-takes or maybe they knew they were being cancelled and didn't care anymore.
