Bob Hastings was, as far as I know, the only person to play a character on the live action IDOJ (in one episode, "The Used Car Salesman" mentioned above) and voice a character on the cartoon show (Henry, a regular character, the basic equivalent of Roger on IDOJ). Gary Owens, Mike Road, and Henry Corden all appeared on IDOJ, and were frequently used as voice actors in Hanna-Barbera cartoons, but I don't think any of those three voiced a character on the Jeannie cartoon. (Corden, who briefly played Jeannie's father in one episode of IDOJ, did play the father of a character who was voiced by the same actress who played the cartoon Jeannie- on "The Barkleys," another Saturday morning cartoon from the season before the cartoon Jeannie debuted.)

By the way, I think the Saturday morning cartoons on CBS in the 1970's were only about 21 minutes long to begin with (I think they were about 22 minutes long on all networks in the 1960's, then they seem to have been shortened by about a minute in the 70's on ABC and CBS only (to make room for "Schoolhouse Rock" on ABC and "In The Know" and later "In The News" on CBS).

"Jeannie tosses her head. Her pigtail makes a circle, then points straight up in the air. A large bloodthirsty falcon suddenly appears on Tony's wrist."

Barbara said that original Gene Nelson came up with the blink instead.
I seriously doubt that the creators of the Shantae videogame ever knew that bit of trivia. Jeannie was shown on Cartoon Network for a while, so it's more likely they learned about her from there. To learn the trivia you mention, one would have had to see and read an original pilot episode script of IDoJ, something to which most people do not have easy access, especially over twenty years ago when the videogame was produced.

If that were true, then I wouldn't remember certain scenes from when I watched during its original airing and then seeing on bootleg copies later where those scenes were cut for commercial time.

One in particular was of Jeannie doing her nails with her magic, and then all of the tools slipping inside of the polish bottle before it too disappeared. That scene is gone from all current copies. I can't remember which episode, but I do remember it distinctly. It's probably what also inspired Scott Awley when he did prelim drawings for the proposed IDoJ cartoon show of the 1990s. When that series never got produced, those same drawings then ended up on the modern board game. Here's the one I suspect was inspired by the missing scene mentioned:

(I know Scott used to also make VHS tapes available of uncut copies of the show, when he had access to the HB vault. He made those copies from 3/4" videotape copies he had been allowed to make from the original film stock.)

My educated guess from being in the IDoJ community for over 20 years is no. I still see "fans" of the show being anti-fanfic because "That's now our Jeannie!1!!" as if they own the rights. They hate the cartoon even more.

Perhaps the better means of getting this cartoon known is to promote it more to the Shantae crowd. They can at least best appreciate a ponytail-using animated djinni

Plex
Crackle

I don't have a direct link to Philo's page for the series, but here's another page which lists the apps airing it, which are clickable:

Reelgood - Jeannie
Crackle and Plex are no longer airing it. Maybe it's still on fubo (as shown at the Reelgood link), but I don't have a subscription to that one.

However people have uploaded the same episodes to Youtube. Same overall quality and same lengths. As stated before, they have indeed been cut, so don't believe the "uncut" statements, unless running times are over 23-minutes.

It was one of my favorite cartoon shows as a kid, but I loved the live-action version as well. I even had the coloring book when I was a kid. I must have thrown it away after I outgrew it, but I ended up buying another one on ebay many years later. Even though the cartoon series was simply called, Jeannie, some of the merchandise used the full title, I Dream of Jeannie. It was nice to revisit the episodes on Crackle a few years ago with nice quality prints.

Also, Ted Cassidy and Paul Frees were voice actors frequently used by Hanna-Barbera who appeared (or in Frees' case, was heard- he did the off-screen narration in early episodes) on IDOJ, but did not do any work on the Jeannie cartoon show.
