Why are episodes LONGER on Hulu.com but shorter on NBC?? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I watched the Office Premeire again on Hulu.com this afternoon and noticed scenes I did not see on Thursday night. So why is that? Why the hell am I seeing a longer version on the internet vs on NBC?

So that means that ratings can't be a true determining factor because most people are probably watching on the Internet like I will be next Thursday

For now, ratings still are a determining factor. As for the future, who knows what is in store?

Not sure about The Office, but I know with Parks & Rec they often put the "producer's cut" online & on the DVDs, which runs a little longer than the aired version.

They gotta force as many spam ads as they can in peoples faces so they show shorter edited versions of shows..

Its not worthing REG TV anymore... All you see are non stop spam ads!!
