I'm jumping around revisiting TBNS's episodes I remember as being funny after about 10 years of seeing it last. My memory was really wrong about this episode. It just kept getting worse and worse. Nothing clicked from the beginning. Unusual for the show to have poor casting of bad acting Jennifer Warren as Ruth Corley and Alan Manson as Congressman Avery. Each scene, bit, and lines all were like comedic lead balloons.
Very creepy that Bob didn't defend himself and his profession when attacked by the TV host. It's hard to pick the worst scene they were all so bad. All the actors seemed to struggle with their sinking ship lines. Even usually hilarious Bill Daily was just mostly annoying. |

Though I have not seen it in a while I remember it as decent ... the interviewer is all sweet until the Cameras roll ...
Bob's asked by Ruth Corley ('Jennifer Warren'), to appear on her morning interview program. After taking up the charming, and demure-sounding Ruth on her offer, she turns into a cut-throat host, on-air, who has Bob in her clutches, and he lets it slip that one of the patients he's treated, is a politician, and everyone begins guessing who that person could be. |
