I can almost understand Eunice's feelings about not wanting Bubba to move to Florida

I know Eunice was often portrayed as the villain for abandoning Bubba, but when she was talking to Mama on the phone in Pomp and Circumstance, she really described her and Ed's living conditions as being boarder line POVERTY. They both lived in a one room studio apartment with ONE bed that pulled out of the wall she said. What kind of life would that have been for someone Bubba's age, living in a cramped studio, likely sleeping on the floor or a cot, with NO privacy at all

Eunice may have been a little selfish, but I think she knew he was better off where he was
