James called Willona a Friend of the Family, but I consider Willona PART of the Family. She was like an Aunt. I remember a Good Times Poster saying something like,"Of COURSE Thelma wouldn't want to date Ray. She'd never go date her Friend, Willona's Fiancee! She wouldn't break her Friend's heart like that!" I responded something like,"Willona wasn't really Thelma's FRIEND, she was more like a sassy Aunt then her Friend! The Poster was like,"Hmm. Actually, you're right!" And liked my comment.

In the hood, when the mom had a girlfriend who is considered her closet friend, she is considered like an Aunt to the kids even though she really isnt but since she is so close to the family they would call her Aunt

Darnell in Sister Sister was a bad boy who used to be a sweet kid. His Mother's Best Friend was Lisa. He made a rude comment to Lisa when she asked him where he girls were. He replied something like, "Am I your Daughters Keeper?" She twisted his ear and said something like,"Little boy, I know you're not getting rude with me!" He said,"I'm sorry Aunt Lisa!

To make sure they were doing fine while Florida was gone. I'm sure MOST people in Willona's shows would have done the same thing.
