Internet and Online spaces seem DIFFERENT today than several years ago

Does anyone else notice this? For e.g. when you're on Youtube, Facebook, etc.... used to you could have in depth conversations with people about videos, movies, random topics, etc.... But it seems like nowadays if you comment on a video or reply to someone else's comment, it gets totally IGNORED, or if someone DOES reply, it's just with a 2 or 3 word reply and if you reply further, you get NOTHING back from them! It's like everyone seems so....emotionless or something... It's hard to even get into a good FIGHT with anyone in comment sections lol Not that that's FUN, but it just seems like people online are so BLANK and lacking of human traits nowadays, I used to enjoy getting into deep discussions about various topics, but gone are those days.

And often times you will see the SAME trendy replies over AND OVER again on every comment, such, "Same", "100%!", "FACTS!!", "tell me _____ without telling me _____" Or just random silly responses that have NOTHING to do with the topic.

I'm wondering if the "dead internet" theory is true, b/c usually I feel like I'm talking to bots every time I'm online nowdays, where as I used to feel like I was talking to REAL PEOPLE


I will say, on this forum people still seem real, I'm talking mainly on social media patforms, and things like that

Yes I've definitly noticed ppl are more unfriendly nowdays, no one smiles, nods, etc.... Everyone walks around with what I call a "Nothin' Muffin'" look on their face. I dunno HOW I came up with that name, unless it's because can you think of anything more tasteless than a muffin with NO flavor lol

I agree with it going back to the 1997-2014 format, for me about the 2000s were almost perfect.... As far as I'm concerned the streaming can go too, as I don't use it, other than Youtube, I prefer movie theaters and DVDs.

I'd wanna keep Facebook as I have a lot of good friends there
