In an early season episode of T70’s Show, Eric, FES snd the unfailingly cool Steven Hyde are all applying for a part time job at Fatso Burgers. When Ricky, the Fatso Burger manager (portrayed by Danny Bonaduce) asks each of them where they think they’ll be in five years, the hip Hyde replies, “In prison.”
Well, Steven Hyde did not go to prison in five years. But, nearly twenty-five years later, Danny “Steven Hyde” Masterson did go to prison after being convicted of sexual assault. Danny Masterson was sentenced to up to thirty years in prison for his crime. Needless to say, many T70’s fans were shocked by Masterson’s conviction. In fact, MikeT45, longtime president of the Christopher Ashton Kutcher Fan Club, was so shaken by Danny Masterson’s felony conviction that MikeT45 now has absolutely nothing to do with either celebrating and commemorating T70’s Show proud legacy. Sadly, it is tough to watch an episode of the original T70’s Show today observing Danny Masterson as the Uber-cool Steven Hyde and knowing that he did come to a very bad end. |
