----putting this on general sitcoms in an attempt to reach a broader audience---
12 seasons, 380 episodes (numbers from Wikipedia). Can anyone reading this say like me they've never seen one of them? |

I've never watched a complete episode. I've watched clips here and there. I know the characters. I just never got around to watching it. 380 episodes is a pretty big time commitment.

It is a fantastic show . One of my all time favorites. Such a wholesome family show. Very charming , yet very funny too. When Chip was little and didn't like girls yet and refereed to them as " that clunky girl " !
Than other times it was more a dramady ! Esp.in the later seasons .And the intro with the neat music and the animated 3 sets of feet/ shoes that they showed was so cool. It was really funny. It fascinated me as a kid and I still think it's cool. ![]() If anyone who hasn't seen My Three Sons wants to check it out, lots of episodes on YouTube or at least Google My Three Sons intro and check out the three sets of shoes !

I haven’t seen a whole lot of it but I’ve watched it some when it’s been on Catchy binges. Overall it’s a good show that I would like to see more of.

According to a FETV thread that was posted about a month ago, it was announced that 2 other shows will debut on the channel.
One of them was Dragnet, which made its debut on Monday, and the other is My Three Sons, which is expected to debut later this year after MeTV dumped that show for The Flintstones (later Adam-12) at 6:30am ET. |

I have yes but I haven't seen them all I'm sure. When I was a kid a local TV station showed reruns of the show in the late afternoon in the late 70s into the early 80s. Probably about 1978 to 1981 or 82 I'd say. I didn't know it was reruns and thought it was a new show as I'd never heard of or seen it before. But they were only the episodes after the character of Ernie was introduced and adopted. So I have no idea how many seasons there are before that or why the TV station never ran the earlier seasons. But yes I did like the show, even if Uncle Charlie was a little cantankerous sometimes LOL. And yes I know now William Frawley was on the show before William Demarest basically replaced him, but I've never seen any of those episodes.

i saw My Three Sons as a kid, then after that I had not seen or heard of this show for decades.
Before the internet came I thought Robbie was the oldest, Chip was the middle son and Ernie the youngest. I always knew Ernie was adopted, but as a kid, it didn't register to be that the reason Ernie was adopted was because the oldest Mike had left the show. What I always remembered is that Robbie & Katie had triplet sons. The episodes that were shown in reruns were after My Three Sons left ABC and moved to CBS. Just a few years back I saw the first 5 years of the show when it was still in black & white. Ernie originally was Chip's new best friend, after Chip's original best friend disappeared without explanation. |

Fred MacMurray and Tim Considine had already worked together on Disney's "The Shaggy Dog". Casting them together in a show alongside Mouseketeer Don Grady and William Frawley was a no brainer for a sitcom set in the early 60's.
Like all sitcoms that go on way too long, it lost its way in the later seasons, when it started marrying off all the sons plus Steve to a divorce woman who already had a kid from her previous marriage. |

Towards the end of the series it looked more like " My Three Daughters " (Katie, Polly and Dodie) than "My Three Sons "

The only seasons that were syndicated for years were at first 6 thru part of 11, and then just 6 thru 10. At times Nickelodeon, TV Land, and Odyssey/Hallmark have shown other seasons as well, and eventually MeTV showed the entire series. |

I have seen seasons 6-10, a few from 11 and not any from 12. I had never seen seasons 1-5. I just started watching 1-5 on Prime. I am loving these seasons with Bub and Mike. They are so funny. Chip is really funny, and I like Sudsy as well. I do like the later seasons as I like the ladies (Barbara and Katie). The later episodes seem to have a more serious tone but still funny. I will eventually watch 11 and 12 but I am trying to watch the series in order. I do like Ernie too.
