TMC Member Forum Idol Join Date: Jan 09, 2001 Posts: 124,453	When Father Knows Best premiered, was it bucking a tide against early 1950s sitcoms You know, those shows (such as The Stu Erwin Show, The Honeymooners, and The Life with Riley) about the a hapless father/husband was often the butt of the jokes and got into trouble instead of being a sage patriarch who could solve all problems.
