Does anyone have any information on the cars used in Hogan's Heros? I remember when I was very young a newspaper "Old Cars" had a story on the cars used in the series. I liked all of them.

I totally agree, the cars on Hogan's Heroes were nice. I'd like to know who provided them for the show myself. You know they had to be hard to get a hold of, but it probably would be more difficult today considering how much time has passed and how much it would cost to restore them. Plus, you have to take into account, the rising cost of fuel and how much they would use.
The vehicles I liked the best were the motorcycles IMHO.

I loved some of the older vehicles also. From time to time you would see where they used the American version of a German made vehicle instead of the German. Sometimes you see a vehicle where the driver was on the right as you would normally see in Europe and then the next week you would see a similar vehicle and the driver would be on the left side.

I got this from the IMDB:
General Burkhalter’s staff car was actually an American hybrid with a Mercedes Benz logo on it. Col. Klink’s staff car was a 1936 Mercedes 540 SS. |
