I assume the Diff'rent Strokes ranking refers to the original theme, not the 8th season reworked version.

Also, there are some pretty familiar themes from 50s shows, like Father Knows Best and I Love Lucy. Probably the best of them is the orchestral theme to the Rifleman (a great stereo version of which is on Youtube), and the Superman theme.

I think the best version of the Patty Duke Show theme is the third season version.

Another note: The Facts of Life theme was jazzed up later, but I think the original version is better.

Agreed on both, I edited those changes in. I probably prefer the original Facts of Life theme, but it has been awhile since I have seen both versions.

I am bumping this thread mainly so I know where it is. After several years in my signature which can only have so many characters, this theme song top 100 has been replaced with my new favorite movies by release/premiere year.
