If so,
is it "Term" or "Whole Life" Insurance? or Have you prepaid your funeral with a Funeral Home? |

I've had life insurance off and on in the 40 yrs of my employment, but nothing at this point. No funeral home, decided on cremation about 20 yrs ago and what's left in my "accounts" my daughter has to work on that not fun job. You got a lot of money, property etc, good to have things in order.

On this insurance business stuff, our govt initiated Social Security decades ago and it's worked good and I'm thankful for it, but I have been hearing for some time how the system is broken and may not be around when you ALL would get it....one has to pay into the program and work for a certain amount of time to collect when it would be there time...So planning for later on would be sound advice...or win a NICE LOTTERY....

Social Security, coming up on 89 yrs
The Social Security Act was signed into law by President Roosevelt on August 14, 1935. In addition to several provisions for general welfare, the new Act created a social insurance program designed to pay retired workers age 65 or older a continuing income after retirement. |

Baby Boomers are and will be draining Social Security dry. Justifiably, so because they paid into it. Social Security is due to be insolvent by 2035. They will have to raise payroll taxes or cut monthly benefits or both.

My dad did get a Lincoln Financial policy very late in his life that paid out really well, but I don't plan on dying anytime soon so I don't think it would work for me. Word of advice: Have your older family members review their policies to update the beneficiary(ies) as needed. If all named beneficiaries have died prior to the policy holder's death (and there are no contingent ones listed), the family will have an unwelcome mess to deal with - depending on all of the probate stuff. I was able to avoid that. No - however, my burial plot exists and has been paid for, and I've given my nieces more than enough money to cover the rest. And I still give them money every year on birthdays & holidays. I'll probably buy my tombstone before I die because I want to see it (but not too soon because I get tired of cleaning them from bird droppings etc. - lol). I've had a couple of funeral homes come after me with tenacity to do the pre-arrangement stuff. I have no interest in that. The way these places buy each other and otherwise change operations leads me to believe any contract I make with them would prove sketchy at best. |

It is very easy to use -- all you do is spray it down and forget about it. The rain, wind and sun do the rest. The product is called Wet & Forget https://www.wetandforget.com/product-selector.html I used it on my parents tombstone that had turned black, but in 2-3 months it returned it back to gray |
