Question Who is the best live-action TV Lois Lane

I'm limiting it to television in order to keep things simple. So I'm not going to bring Margot Kidder, Kate Bosworth, or Amy Adams into the conversation. I'm also going to only focus this on the "modern" portrayals of Lois (meaning since 1993), since I would assume that most people here haven't seen Noel Neill or Phyllis Coates on the George Reeves Superman series from the 1950s.

Teri Hatcher

Erica Durance

Elizabeth Tulloch

Teri Hatcher Made Lois Lane Superman's Equal

Notable Appearances

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman

Usually, Lois Lane is a supporting character in Superman shows and movies, but Teri Hatcher played Lois Lane as a co-star in the hit series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. This series focused primarily on the relationship between Lois Lane and Clark Kent, providing fans with a deeper look into their romantic and personal lives rather than just superhero action. This shift allowed for richer character development and exploration of their dynamic.

While Teri Hatcher may not have been as naturally funny or charming as some other portrayals of Lois Lane, she delivered a grounded performance that highlighted the lower points in Lois's life. Hatcher effectively conveyed the grief and anxiety Lois experienced while balancing these emotions with her strong personality and quick wit. Her chemistry with Dean Cain, who portrayed Superman, is what made the series successful over its four-season run. This relationship not only brought depth to the characters but also resonated with audiences, making Lois & Clark a memorable entry in the Superman franchise.
