Archie didnt ask about Lionel and then realized Mike evans wasnt back on Jeffersons yet. This episode aired in March of 1979 and Mike Evans didnt run into Sherman Hemsley until summer of 1979 which led to return of Mike Evans in Fall of 79

Plus there was no Lionel in the 1978-79 season because the 2nd Lionel had left the show in 1978

That same thing happened on 3's Company, when the Ropers came back to visit, they never even inquired about where Chrissy was. I guess I just assume that the characters keep up with each other off-screen. Edith and Louise probably wrote letters and spoke on the phone some

Right it was odd they would come back and not ask about chrissy. Even when they told mrs roper........Thats chrissy cousin the normal response would have been where is chrissy?
