Default Family Feud episode

Two members of the Van Courtland were named Binky and Bunny. Hmmm. Coincidence would you say?

A goof I noticed was in the very last scene. Vint yells to Fran (who never appeared in the entire episode) to hurry up on the popcorn. Well the power went out. Wouldn't Fran enter the living room once the power went out?

It's fun to really dissect these episodes since all of us have seen these multiples times!

I was thinking wouldn't Aunt Fran and Sonja have hurt feelings that they weren't included in the game? I know only five can be on Family Feud ,but Vint kind of decided that they wouldn't be any good! How insulting!!!

That's not really a goof, it's just how they decided to write the scene; they wanted to "include" Fran being in the household at the time. And her not entering the dining/living room could be explained away by saying she was probably looking for a flashlight, or candles, or matches, in the kitchen or pantry closet or perhaps even basement.

Yes, particularly Sonja, as her brother was chosen but she was not. A better way of writing them into the script would be mentioning the two of them being away on a trip or something (perhaps Aunt Fran could have taken Sonja somewhere cultural out of town to try and "better herself", etc.); maybe even have them both on screen leaving at the beginning of the episode right before the letter comes.

Since most of the episode took place on the Family Feud set, there wouldn't have been much for either of them to do so they just decided to leave them out of the episode entirely. That happened a lot in the first season. If you notice, Fran is missing from several episodes that season including Cellmates and Positive Thinking (both with Carol Burnett as guest star) and also the episode where Mama gets a job. Since Sonja wasn't exactly a ball of fire, leaving her out of the team was a obvious decision.

I was thinking the same thing!!! Eunice would really be fit to be tied at Mama's "a letter" answer that made them lose the game !!! And could you imagine Richard Dawson with both Mama and Eunice on? Mama was driving him nuts as it was, Eunice would be worse!!!
