I was wondering if anyone has or has seen a place where I can trade or even purchase the 1980's TV Shows:
Thats Incredible! & Real People * Ok I have seen if you live on the west coast they are airing Thats Incredible! on Retro TV. We get the station, but on the east coast they aren't airing the show.. maybe someone here is taping it?? Maybe someone hear has bought it and has copies, etc Please PM me or write on the topic! 2 TV Shows I am trying to hunt down and I havent be able to find them =========== - TV Show Plot For Thats Incredible That's Incredible ran for five seasons from 1980 to 1984 on the ABC network. The series followed the success of other 80's reality based shows like Real People. The show's segments highlighted real life dangerous stunts, alleged paranormal events and breakthroughs in medicine. Some of the incredible stunts performed on the That's Incredible TV series were: an man who leapt over cars speeding at him at 60mph; another man who caught arrows with his bare hands; a Frenchman who balanced a table on a 120 story building with nothing holding him; and a skydiver who jumped out of an airplane while wearing a strait-jacket. Cast of Thats Incredible TV Show Cathy Lee Crosby - Host John Davidson - Host Fran Tarkenton - Host ========== - TV Show Plot For Real People The Real People series was one of the original reality TV shows, and was a forerunner to popular shows like That's Incredible and America's Funniest Home Videos. The show was broadcast on NBC from 1979 to 1984 on either Wednesday or Sunday nights. TV comedy innovator and producer George Schlatter (Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In)was responsible for creating Real People. The cast of the series included Co-hosts Skip Stephenson, Byron Allen, Fred Willard, Mark Russell and Sarah Purcell. Bill Rafferty also appeared as a roving reporter. The show featured profiles of "real people" in pre-filmed reports by the shows co-hosts. Some of the famous reports included: the world's fastest artist (more than 83,000 paintings), a man who ate dirt, a man who went through life walking backward, and a shapely lady truck driver. There were features on a hollering convention, barbershop quartets, and a disco class for senior citizens. Between the filmed segments the in studio hosts read funny letters from the show's viewers. The prize was a Real People T-shirt for viewer submitted pictures of strange signs, unusual names, or funny typos from newspapers and magazines used on the air. Cast of Real People TV Show Sarah Purcell Byron Allen Bill Rafferty John Barbour(1979-1982) Fred Willard (1979; 1981-1983) Skip Stephenson Mark Russell Peter Billingsley (1982-1984) |
