There was a special on the case of Mia Zapata last night on 48 Hours Mystery. I thought it was very interesting about how it mentioned that some saliva was recovered and frozen for about ten years until her accused killer Jesus Menquia was brought to justice. What I also found frustrating was the fact that no one had heard her screams or anything else while she was being forced or threatened. I remember during the UM segment that a man had supposedly heard screams around 3 am but there was a big gap in time from approximately 2- 3am where her whereabouts were questionable. There was also another case profiled where a thirteen year old girl was murdered by her fourteen year old neighbor because he had been obsessed with her. She was found in a cardboard box inside a dumpster but the suspect had denied having sex with her. Her friends had said that he was always obsessed with her and that's why he had killed her. This case might have also been on UM during the nbc/cbs/ or lifetime years but I don't remember; it's been about two years since I have watched UM.
