I began thinking about how many UM cases were also shown on AMW. I did some research and found out that there were several cases that were covered by both shows. Because AMW debuted on February 7, 1988 and UM didn't become a regular weekly series on October 5, 1988, some of the cases were featured on AMW long before UM ever profiled them. After combing through AMW's episode guides, I complied the following list with airdates:
7/3/88: Jim Burnside 9/25/88: Elizabeth Campbell 2/12/89: Patrick Mitchell (possibly Patrick Michael Mitchell?) 4/9/89: Jerome Alan Bargo 5/14/89: Donald Eugene Webb 11/19/89: Victor Gerena, Leo Koury, Arthur Washington 12/17/89: James Donald King 4/29/90: John Hawkins 6/17/90: Updates on Larry George (I couldn't find the airdate for the initial broadcast of his case.) and Jerome Alan Bargo. 2/27/99: Elaine Antoniette Parent I'm sure there are many more in between 1990 and 1999, but the episode guides of AMW that I've found are extremely spotty after 1990. |

I know for sure that AMW had a segment on Brad Bishop around the same time that UM did there's, 1990 or 1991, and if I recall correctly the AMW was equally as chilling!

Off the top of my head, I know that both shows profiled Rufino Castaneda and Robert Fisher.

I'm pretty sure The Green River Killer (Gary Ridgeway) was profiled on both.

AMW has profiled Gloria Schulze. Several times as a matter of fact. I have the last time they aired her on disc, which was right before the show went off the air earlier this decade. I can certainly understand the persistence, she needs to be arrested badly.

I vividly remember AMW covering the Michaela Garecht abduction shortly after the UM version aired.
I also remember AMW doing their own show on the Alcatraz escape and talking about reported sightings of Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers over the years. It looks like Richard Bocklage was profiled on AMW as well. |

I think I remember hearing that AMW did a segment on D.B. Cooper.
