Default Happy Birthday NICK at NITE! On July 1, 2025 you will be 40 Years Old!

On July 1st 1985 NICKELODEONS NICK at NITE was born it was the home of TV Shows like “DENNIS THE MENACE” & “THE DONNA REED SHOW” and than others joined.

It was the first cable network to ever show Reruns ALL NITE & EVERY NITE!

Through the years other Networks tried this formula and not to take away from there success but NICK at NITE was the only place to get it right!!!!

Currently nick@nite is the home of FRIENDS and other Modern Programming.

However do you see on the actual NITETIME Block of NICKELODEON that is called NICK at NITE. Do you think in 2025 Starting July 1st they would be willing to Celebrate in the Summer of 2025 having a Huge ALL NITE & EVERY NITE Summer Block Party by bringing back those Shows & promos that brought success to its network?

Perhaps if the owners are wanting to shut down NICK at NITE What better way to go out than doing this final publicity stunt! If you want to keep the network going perhaps making NICK at NITE a Beautiful Place to be. NICK at NITE can be Better living Through Good TV!

This is my thoughts what are yours?

The social official account don't even acknowledge the anniversary at all. NOT even on TV. Even 9 years ago didn't acknowledge it in 2015.

The lineup already has been stale and on autopilot.

Merry24, just to clarify this year we are in 2024, so we are one year away for 2025.

But given with nick@nite autopilot, they're NOT even going to bother celebrate anniversary at all.

A big problem with "modern" Nick at Nite is that it's not longer interested in airing shows that just previously, were not part of any kind of regular rerun syndication package. That's a lot different than what they're doing now with scheduling a a five hour overnight marathon of Friends, which is already also on TBS, in local syndication, and several streaming services. So what's the point of airing a five hour overnight marathon of a show you can watch instantly at the push of button at any time?

All the life has been sucked out of it, so that it's now a nothing burger.

Even at their 20th, and of course before, they still had innovative, creative, and clever people there, who created interest in the shows, no matter which shows they were. The bumpers and promos were in a word, great.

Now, no time for all that, especially bumpers. What money can be made from those?

With four months away for July 1, I have a feeling nick@nite isn't going to acknowledge 40th anniversary at this point anymore, with only current schedule that has Friends, The Big Bang Theory, and Modern Family.

Even 10 years ago in 2015 didn't acknowledge those.

We are less then a month away from Nick At Nite turning 40. I don't see them doing anything it would be awesome even just for 1 night or 1 week or a couple of weeks or 1 month but they obviously couldn't be bothered to. The reason I believe they couldn't be bother to is because of being safe and staying with what makes money because its all about money and their scared doing something different will lose even just tiny bit of money and I get it they need money to keep afloat but even just for a little bit like I said above isn't gonna hurt but it apparently to them it does and its sad. But it's fun to think about how fun and nostalgic it can be with all the classic shows and bumpers just for one more time and feel like you younger or kids again depending on how old you were during your favorite time frame of Nick At Nite. For me it would be my childhood and preteen years. I mean since its summer it will feel fun to stay up kinda of like a block party summer accept for the 40th anniversary but sadly won't happen but fun to think about. What do you guys think.

Like many channels, think MTV, AMC, CMT, TV Land, etc, Nick at Night lost it's way.

I haven't watch it or the other channels I listed in years.

Like wise I haven't either and true I agree they have lost their way. But theres a mixture of reasons they lost their way like people watchiing stuff more on youtube or watching videos on fb or instagram or tiktok and streaming services netflix, hulu, amazon prime, tubi etc. Live streaming services like youtube TV, directv stream, xfinity stream, philo, sling tv but its also hard to say how many people watch those channels on those live streaming services I mentioned. Also a lot of companies / corporate rather stay safe re running episodes of one show if it will make money and not try other things / stuff. But it would be fun to think about what it be like to watch a Nick At Nite 40th anniversary thing and have a little fun but it's not gonna happen.

You also mentioned Nick At Nite should retire and I agree but also maybe rebrand to classic nick shows. I Know we had 90s Are All That, The Splat, Nick Splat, and Nick Rewind on Teennick but try again and even better on Nick At Nite but I doubt that would ever happen either It's just a dream lol

As a kid in the '80s, I loved Nick at Nite and watched it regularly from 1985 to 2000. I continued a little but probably up to 2003. Nick at Nite has been around for 40 years, and I haven't watched it in the past 20.

I feel that completely as a kid in the '90s and '2000s I loved Nick At Nite as well and I watched it pretty much regularly from like 1996 - 2010 after that it was not regularly or barely regularly. I haven't Watch Nick At Nite in like the past 10 years give or take a little.
