after the Feb 8, 1974 airing on CBS, Good Times wasnt a huge hit but finished 20th below ABC Monday Night Movie at #19.

Note: Good Times aired after Sanford and Son on Friday Nights during season 1 but not on same network of course.

I think it was you that while back posted an article from TVGUIDE magazine from 1974 which promote the debut of Goodtimes TV show as Maude spinoff. I bet alot of Maude show viewers turned to see debut of Goodtimes to find out what all the commotions was about.
