I’m really enjoying my rewatch of TCFC, but it is really killing me that their couches are so very tiny. Even when Muriel held the photo shoot to make the extra money for couches, the girls’ couch downstairs got even smaller!
I know it’s nitpicky, but I’m usually fascinated by sitcom floorplans and I don’t think that this series will show much about that. But I am enjoying seeing the 80s design trends living on this show as they return for 2020. |

I always thought the SAME THING!!! Henry and Muriel's apartment always seemed SO SMALL! Especially for the home of a successful cartoonist. It was always hard to imagine 4 people living there before the girls moved out.

I dont think it was an apartment. They lived in one of those tall houses in San Francisco and people rent out apartments above or below them. I thought the floor plan was fairly accurate of how a house like that would be built. I think they are called row houses? Their kitchen was huge though but it did have a small living room. The girls area was an apartment so I think that was fairly accurate too.
