My favorite one that I can think of off the top of my head is probably "Off Sides" (the one with Sir Larry in it) Nothing More Than Feelings was a pretty good and memorable one too. I tend to like the earlier ones the best.

"You're Driving Me Crazy, You're Driving Me Nuts" which originally aired Feburary 10, 1993, in the second season, where Tim tried to drive Jill to a wedding--in the snow--and they get lost, to the point of winding up in Ohio!
It's a geography and map geek's dream. They took I-94 out west to US 127 (which would be Jackson) and took US 127 south. North Adams was the destination; I did some digging and found that there really exists a North Adams, Michigan, and it's west of US 127 south of Addison along an unnumbered local road. However, Jill was talking about seeing a sign for Adrian saying it was six miles away at the US 223 junction. The distance between US 127 and Adrian is greater than six miles. When Jill read the sign that read "Welcome to Ohio" I'll bet they were in either Fulton or Williams Counties in Ohio (those are the two counties west of Lucas County, where Toledo is) since when they got to that convenience store to ask for directions they were informed by a policeman that US 127 was quite a distance away and they would have to take County Road 6 (which both Fulton and Williams have--and both go north and south) to 20 (which I assume is US 20). A route numbered 2 was mentioned; both those counties I mentioned have County Road 2, too, although there is an OH 2 (shorthand for Ohio state route 2), as well, which travels from the Indiana state line west of Hicksville to near Painesville, east of Cleveland. Perhaps they traveled south on one of the roads that was six miles from Adrian, Michigan, on US 223: One option would be Springville Highway (six miles west) which will run into M-34 and go through Cadmus, then continue south for a little more and dead-end at an east-west local road, then using a mix of roads and ending up near Morenci, Michigan, and taking M-156 south to OH 108. Fayette, Ohio, the closest place to the US 20/OH 108 junction which would have a convenience store, is 2-3 miles west of OH 108 on US 20, but US 127 (which Tim and Jill wanted) is less than a mile west of Fayette, throwing that theory out. Another option would be Crockett Highway (six miles east of Adrian) which will enter Ohio as Fulton CR 3 and ending at OH 120 in Metamora. Back to the instructions that policeman gave them, CR 6 is 3-4 miles west of there, but US 20 is south of there and out of the way, which rules out Metamora. Perhaps they took OH 64 (which goes south from Metamora) south to Swanton, which has Route 2, or OH 2? (Of note, Swanton has a US 20A running concurrent with OH 2, which could add a bunch of confusion--and be a good alternative to those laundry list-style instructions to take US 20 and CR 6 to get back to US 127!) Just some ideas! |
